Superficial “North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church” in Perth, Australia, subjected a visiting Christian to a ritualistic, superficial and dehumanising church-routine as though the visiting Christian were an object. The harsh-voiced and cold-eyed pastor later reciprocated the visiting Christian’s criticism, with accusations against the Christian of discourteousness, rudeness and unfriendliness. The Adventist pastor also refused to advise of any church where congregants and staff would be more authentic.

North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church,

The same hostility which I immediately saw in your eyes and heard in your harsh and demanding tone of voice when you approached me, is now finally also detectable for a wider audience through your black letters on a white screen by your email response.

On top of that you accuse me (perhaps as a psychological defence mechanism of projection, or simply as a childlike reversal of criticism) of a discourteous, rude and unfriendly manner. Please explain your accusations against me. No person in your church attempted any genuine/authentic communication. The persons who did interact in one way or another, only attempted to present typically superficial greeting-rituals. Tone of voice, eyes, body gestures and choice of vocabulary showed no sign of sincerity, warmth of humanity or Christ-likeness.

You have now also proven to the wider audience that your intention was not benevolence, but your intention is malevolent, as you declared in writing “precludes passing onto you the information which you seek” in response to my question if there is an Adventist church in Perth where also single Christians can meet and communicate – authentically. Your intention is not to help or support, but your intention is to prevent God’s goodness and to destroy. That too is the agenda of satan.

Regards,

Hello Torsten (or should I call you Bob?)

Your discourteous, rude and unfriendly manner to those who genuinely attempted to welcome you into fellowship and communication last Saturday (10 person that I am aware of) precludes passing onto you the information which you seek.

Daniel

North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church

North Perth Seventh-day Adventist Church,

Today, Saturday Feb.21 2015, I visited your church building for the 9:30am study.

I am undecided which is more destructive by churches; to explicitly or covertly excommunicate a visiting Christian, or to dehumanise a visiting Christian through superficiality and ritualistic greetings in absence of sincerity and heart.

Your church is not guilty of excommunicating an innocent Christian visitor the way that most churches do, but certainly your church is guilty of the latter; subjecting a visiting Christian to a heartless welcoming-routine as though the visiting person were an object.

The tone of voices associated with the statements made and questions asked towards the visitor, is reflective of superficiality, falsehood and heartlessness. Worst was the pastor.

Before your pastor Daniel had identified himself as a pastor, I immediately knew from his harshly and demanding tone of voice as he inquired of my name, that he was a pastor. Inhumanity, coldness and harshness are three typical hallmarks of church-pastors and church-leaders.

I seek a Christian community in Perth where I might find opportunities to fellowship, socialise, meet and talk, and develop relationships with also Christian singles.

Is there an Adventist church in Perth where there occasions of fellowship where also single Christians in the approximate age bracket 25-39 gather and communicate - authentically?

Kind regards,

Torsten Nenzén
