The “New Philadelphia Church Busan” in Busan, Korea, welcomed a Christian to attend their Sunday performances, but declined the Christian’s application form to fellowship/socialise with other people. The rejected Christian is absolutely innocent in relation to each excommunication by other churches worldwide, and is absolutely innocent also to this particular Korean church.

The “New Philadelphia Church Busan” in Busan, Korea, welcomed the Christian person Torsten to attend their church’s Sunday performances but declined the Christian’s application form to fellowship and to socialise in so-called ‘Community Groups’. The Christian is absolutely innocent in relation to this particular Korean church, and is absolutely innocent in relation all the other hundreds of churches worldwide who have excommunicated/banished/evicted the same innocent Christian.

Nearly all pastors of all churches on earth where Torsten has visited or communicated have sought to hinder Christian friendships, hinder Christian relationships and prevent a Christian marriage. The vast majority of pastors of churches on earth have done the will of satan in this.

Re: Re: NP Busan

Hello Torsten

I'm sorry you feel that way. I am in no way trying to reject you or make you feel unwelcome. Like I said, the whole CG thing is structure we set up (among all of our campuses) to keep our groups intimate and encourage vulnerability. In no way was it a rejection of you personally.

I define church as the body of believers (living stones) that come together every Sunday to worship and seek the Lord together. I'm sorry if I've offended you in any way, and I encourage you to not judge our church based on what you experience on your first Sunday.

Sincerely

Caleb Lee

New Philadelphia Church Busan.

Hello again “campus pastor” Caleb Lee,

Your conduct and your words leave me with only two possible assessments of your approach towards/against me: either (1) you are not fully honest, or, (2) you would have to be partially unaware of what you speak and write and do. My conclusion is that you are somewhat false and disingenuous – as a typical pastor of a church. I will at this stage abstain from accusing you of being liar, since I have no evidential basis for such a statement.

You responded “When I encouraged you to "Come check us out", it was more of an invitation to check out our church.” Are you defining your “church” as an 8th floor rented premises of a building? Or, are you defining your “church” as a Sunday 3pm staged performance? In either case, your perception of “church” would not differ from the vast majority of pastors of churches. Based on your own words in your response, your understanding of church does not seem to include authentic fellowship and socialising among alleged members of the Body of Christ.

You replied “If it seemed like I or anyone else was rejecting you personally from CG …”. Yes, it does very much still seem that way.

Regards,

Torsten Nenzen

Re: NP Busan

Hi Torsten

Thank you for your email. First of all I want to let you know that I didn't reject your "community group" sign up. When you emailed me a few weeks ago and inquired about Christian fellowship, I mentioned that we have fellowship after service, and that we also have Community Group. I also mentioned that Community Group is more geared to discipleship, and not so much of a socialising fellowship. Also, when I encouraged you to "Come check us out", it was more of an invitation to check out our church.

At the time of your first email, I hadn't realized that we stopped taking CG signups. We have 4 months of sowing seasons where we have weekly CG meetings, and then we have 2 months of Sabbath seasons where we don't have regular CG meetings. Near the end of the sowing season we stop taking CG signups because it requires at least a two month commitment. We want to foster an atmosphere of vulnerability, and its tough to do that when people are just coming and going. The signups sheets should not have been there in the first place.

If it seemed like I or anyone else was rejecting you personally from CG, I want to apologize. That was not the case at all. If you had come at a time when we were taking sign ups, or you continued at our church until next sowing season, I definitely would have placed you in a CG. Our CG signups do not have an accepting/rejecting aspect to them. If you are attending our church, everyone is welcome. The only thing that is required is a 2 month commitment, and that you sign up when we are taking sign ups.  You mentioned that I said "We don't know where to put you". I said that mainly because you didn't check any of the options of availability at the bottom. It wasn't a rejection in anyway.

I hope this answers some of your questions. If you would like to talk to me personally about the matter, I am available to talk after service, or you can set up a meeting with me via email.

God bless

Caleb Lee

NP Busan

New Philadelphia Church Busan.

Hello “campus pastor” Caleb Lee,

Thanks for replying to my inquiry regarding fellowship at your church. Today, Sunday May 29, I visited your church.

At the end of the performance I filled out of your church’s application form for attending a community group; community groups which you had recommended to me in your email reply to my inquiry regarding fellowship. I handed the filled application form back to the female person standing on the opposite side of the table of books and application forms.

Approximately ten minutes later, you Caleb Lee approached me, and informed that I was not permitted to attend any community group because, as you expressed it, “we don’t know where to put you”. You also said that your community groups only fellowship for one more month until the end of June.

I have two concerns in regards to your rejection of my application form to fellowship in a so-called community group: (1) In your email reply you had invited me to attend your church’s community groups (“come and check us out”) but when I visited your church you rejected my application to attend any of your church’s community groups. Please explain truthfully: Why did you change your invitation into a rejection? (2) In your rejection statement (“we don’t know where to put you”) you referred to the decision as plural “we” and not singular “I” while speaking to me in an informal fashion. Please answer truthfully: Which other persons were part of this decision to reject me?

Regards,

Hi Torsten

Thanks for your email regarding NP Busan. We gather every Sunday at 3pm for worship in Gwananli. (Address can be found at our website newphilly.cc) We usually have a time of fellowship after church. We also have discipleship groups that meet once a week called "community groups". I would say that out community groups are more geared towards discipleship that fellowship. I encourage you to come and check us out! God bless!

New Philadelphia Church Busan.

Hi.

I am a Christian here in Busan, Korea. I seek a Christian community in Busan with surroundings where there is opportunity to fellowship and socialise with, also, Christian singles.

Are there occasions of fellowship in your congregation where also youngish adult Christians gather and communicate? Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church where to also develop friendships?

Best regards,

Torsten Nenzén
