Devilish “City Impact Church” in Auckland, New Zealand, rejected an innocently excommunicated Christian from opportunity to fellowship, through their church-director’s arrogant statement "This is obviously not the church for you." and through their church’s refusal to communicate further. City Impact Church also derisively commented against the Christian Good luck finding that perfect church. The City Impact Church pastors aspire to exert authority by mechanically controlling people into their fold. City Impact Church presents a website (façade) of fellowship, but none invite.

City Impact Church in Auckland, New Zealand, excommunicated an innocently excommunicated Christian: (1) through rejection by their church director Greg Crawford who stated “This is obviously not the church for you.”, (2) through the church pastors’ refusals to communicate further, and (3) through popular neglect by the other church group leaders.

Because you chose to not reply, and because you would not provide a justifiable rationale for your rejection of me through your arrogant statement "This is obviously not the church for you.", it seems evident that your statement of rejection does indeed correlate with an intention to reject.

It is sinful of you to excommunicate the innocent.

Rejection / excommunication ??

City Impact Church,

Hello Director Greg Crawford,

When I inquired with your church if I am welcome to attend a small/cell/fellowship group with predominantly single Christians in their 30's, you replied arrogantly with a concluding statement of rejection, stating to me that "This is obviously not the church for you."

You then accentuate your arrogance with a false accusation against me that I would have been in pursuit of a "perfect church".

No, I am in search of a welcoming church.

What is the reason for your rejection of me from your church?

Regards,

Re: cell groups / interest groups

Greg Crawford,

I have already provided to you in my previous email to you the email addresses/names of the interest groups which I contacted. That information is still in this email too, if you scroll down to the previous email [Wed, 29 Jan 2014 22:21]. The date of my inquiry with those interest groups is also there, in black and white.

I am not particularly interested in meeting pastors. What do I do with them? I have no need to meet them.

Neither am I particularly interested in meeting a group of specifically "new" people.

From your description of your church-programme, it sounds that your church may have a mechanical view of people. You want first to control people for 14 weeks before you then break them up and stick them into other groups. I am sorry, but it sounds like your church is a typically control-freak church which typically fails to see people individually as unique humans.

I would like to attend a small/cell/fellowship group with predominantly single Christians in their 30's (maybe also late 20's).

Am I welcome to attend a Christian fellowship in your church without screening/interference by control-freakish "pastors"?

Regards,

Torsten Nenzen

Hi Tortzen,

Yes we do have a small group option for you, the small groups all start with our gateway groups that start next week 19/02 at 7.15pm in the sanctuary café following our prayer service at 6.15pm which I would encourage you to come to. The gateway is essentially the first small group where by all of those who are new to City Impact Church have a great opportunity to meet with each other, and also the Pastors here at Church. This group will stick together for the first 14 weeks, and then branch off into other small groups of either ministry, or fellowship depending on what you prefer.

Can you please send me the names of the interest groups you did not hear back from, and what date you sent correspondence as I would like to follow this through.

Thanks & blessings,

Greg Crawford

Hello Greg Crawford,

One person did reply. Kelly Purcell of "Trampers" replied courteously, but she has provided no further information regarding time/location to any of her meetings.

Are there cell groups that I can attend?

I do not have any further questions at this time.

Hi Tortzen,

I am sorry to hear about the slow response from the interest groups. Can you please let me know which groups you emailed, and what day you emailed so that I can follow this through in a nice manner.

With regards to the other questions, yes we do have cell groups that follow on from the gateway classes that are small groups in themselves where you will meet lots of new faces, some single, and some not. We do not have a singles groups as such, but we find that many singles find a way of congregating together as a by product of their involvement in Church life. Please let me know if you do intend to attend a church service here, as I would love to make a point of spending time with you to discuss any further questions you have regarding connecting to the life of the church in person.

Many thanks,

Ps Greg

City Impact Church.

Hi Greg Crawford,

It looks nice on a website, but I am interested in reality. I contacted several "interest groups" [Wed, 29 Jan 2014 22:21]. Only one of the groups replied. And that group leader which replied did not provide any information to any meeting.

So, back to square one:

- Are there opportunities in your congregation where also single Christians can meet and communicate - and build relationships?

- Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church that I can attend?

Re: Thank you for your email

Hi Again Tortzen,

Unfortunately my Skype abilities are somewhat lacking (I can do FaceTime) so maybe if I give you a snapshot of some things that may help by way of helping you make connection

Interest groups … we run a number of interest groups at church that are here to facilitate people connecting on a interest level I.e. Sports, tramping, photography, business etc… please check some out http://www.cityimpactchurch.com/northshore/im-new/get-connected/interest-groups/

Sunday +1 … This is something we started last year that helps every person within the church to connect at some level. It involves pathways to volunteer straight away if you want to meet people by working along side them, or alternatively come through our Gateway groups and learn what we believe and why with others that are new to City Impact Church http://www.cityimpactchurch.com/northshore/what-we-do/sunday-plus-1/

I trust this gives you a little more understanding of our priority around making sure that people stay connected within the life of City Impact Church.

Have a blessed week!

Re: Thank you for your email

Director Greg Crawford,

Hi!

Thanks for replying to my inquiry regarding opportunities to meet and communicate with also Christian singles.

Although I would probably love to speak with you over the phone, I don’t have a phone.

But I do have Skype. My Skype name is “blessisrael”. If you skype me, then we can have a voice conversation as you wish.

Otherwise, what are the opportunities in City Impact Church that also Christian singles meet and socialise?

Did you need some basic facts about me as to recommend the right meetings?

Of course I courteously socialise with persons of all ages and backgrounds or circumstances, but for my personal objective I look to connect with persons who:

1) love Jesus Christ more than they love anyone else (1st priority)

2) are single

3) are in the 30's (or late 20’s)

In regards to recreational activities, I am normally active in endurance sports, but due to a recent knee surgery I won’t be doing any distance running the next few months. Considering my stated objective, in relation to Christian social life, I prefer church activities that are not primarily activity focused, but are relationship focused.

I hope that helps.

Best regards,

Torsten Nenzen

Hi Torsten,

Thank you for your email regarding connecting with other single people in the life of the church. Yes we do have a large scope of ways that you can connect as a single guy into what is happening at city impact church, and it would be great to chat with you in person to find the best way to do so. Can you possibly call me in the office during the week 09 477-0300 so that we can have this discussion in person?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Greg

Christian meetings

Dear City Impact Church North Shore Auckland,

Hi.

I am a Christian single man here in Auckland. I seek a Christian community in Auckland where I also might find opportunities to fellowship, socialise, meet and talk with other Christian singles.

Are there opportunities in your congregation where also single Christians can meet and communicate - and build relationships?

Are there fellowship groups, community groups, cell groups or small groups in your church that I can attend?

Best regards,

Torsten Nenzén
